Asda gets a grip October 1st 2009 All the fire escape staircases leading
from the multi-storey car park at the
new Asda superstore in Sutton,
Surrey have been fitted with
EdgeGrip, the stair edge profile from
Fibregrid.
The pre-formed robust fibreglass
panels were also fitted to internal
staircases around the store. EdgeGrip
has a silicone carbon grit top finish
which is extremely slip resistant even
in the wettest of conditions.
While the traditional checker plate
type steps met the requirements with
regard to structural capabilities, they
lacked the contrasting coloured, slip
resistant nosing.
The profiles were fitted using a
combination of fast cure adhesive
and stainless steel self tapping screws. More articles from Fibregrid Ltd: |
