Assesses Five versions offered slip risk
April 1st 2006

At this year's Safety & Health Expo, Spectrum Metrology will demonstrate how to quantify the slip risk factor of flooring using Surtronic Duo, a portable surface roughness instrument from Taylor Hobson.

A surface roughness meter, in conjunction with material available from the HSE, allows personnel to make objective decisions about floor safety. For ease of use, it splits into two parts, allowing the measuring head to be placed on the flooring and the measurement to be made via a remote control.

Results can be fed to HSE SAT software for an indication of the level of slip risk.
