Doing it for the kids
May 1st 2009

London's Science Museum is one of the latest facilities to install Vynastat electro-static discharge matting from Plastic Extruders.

The ESD matting is used in a new exhibition area for children where it protects them from any potential unpleasant effects of static discharge from the interactive machines. The matting has the additional benefits of dissipating spillage or debris from the standing area as well as being slip resistant and comfortable underfoot.

Another ESD variation is Zed Land which is recommended for static-sensitive working environments, such as cleanrooms and dry areas. The patented high density foam matting not only incorporates ESD properties but also has superior anti-fatigue performance. The vinyl foam construction is very hard-wearing and will also deaden sound. It is available in various mat sizes or roll lengths in dark grey and blue.
