Firm base for RNLI crew
February 1st 2006

Flowcrete's Flowfast Quartz flooring is providing a firm footing for the crew of RNLI's Fleetwood Station on the Lancashire coast, where facilities include a lifeboat house, mechanics workshop, classroom, changing rooms, offices and kitchen.

As part of recent building work, Hi-Spec Industrial Flooring installed Flowfast Quartz system, in red, in the lifeboat house. The lifeboat is kept on a ramp and, as a result, a high grade of slip resistance was required.

Standard grade Flowfast, with coving, was also installed in the workshop.

An acrylic methacrylate system, Flowfast has a curing time of less than 1h to receive foot and vehicular traffic, even when temperatures plunge to -25.

Products include primers and sealers that can be used on damp concrete, metal or tiled surfaces and high temperature areas.
