Making court safer February 1st 2007 Helping to meet the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act, fittings from Kee Klamp's 500 Series have been used to construct a new handrailing structure that runs alongside stairways and ramps at the main entrance to Llanelli County Court. Fittings are finished in a silver-grey RAL colour that is said to benefit the sight- impaired visitor and is not cold to the touch, as required by the DDA. The new structure also fulfils Part M of the Building Regulations which recommends an outside diameter tube size for such structures of between 40 and 45mm. The Kee Klamp 500 Series is designed to give a smooth handrail with size 7 tube (outside diameter 42.4mm). Incorporating 12 new fittings, the 500 Series is supplied with versatility and speed of installation in mind. It can also be used as a retrofit solution. More articles from Kee Safety Limited: |
