NEW TOP SURFACE FOR SAFETY MATTING
June 29th 2005

Plastic Extruders’ Vynagrip industrial safety matting now has a new top surface that increases its slipresistance by more than 70%

The deeply etched surface is designed to reduce the high incidence of slips, trips and falls that occur in industrial, manufacturing and similar working environments and are particularly acute where liquid spills present a hazard

Its high rating was verified in independent laboratory tests (using DIN 51130) where the matting is laid on a tilting table and covered with an oily substance. An assistant wearing calibrated footwear stands on the surface until the table is lifted to an angle at which sliding begins to occur

Vynagrip’s new surface is rated R12, equivalent to almost a 30° angle of incline

Made from PVC in a gridwelded format, it is also said to help reduce fatigue.
