Safety underfoot
August 1st 2011

The Dutch bank Rabobank Nijkerk in Amersfoort has installed slip resistant Grip Rock matting, by Plastic Extruders, after experiencing issues with customers slipping on the ceramic tiled ramp. Grip Rock is a safety matting originally designed for frying areas in kitchens, fast food outlets and other locations where there is a risk of slipping. The matting has a 3mm profile and is manufactured to the DIN51130 standard.

The matting comprises a durable wearing surface made with ceramic and crushed garnet beads, a fibreglass interlayer and a polyurethane backing. It is available in 12m long x 91cm wide rolls and also in 1.5m x 91cm individual modules.
