Tough task for matting
October 1st 2006

Although normally used as a slip-resistant matting in heavy industrial environments, Flexigrid from Plastic Extruders has been used at Kiverton Park Steel in Sheffield to protect 1000kg steel coils and the factory floor from damage.

Laid upside down so the cross bars provide additional support, the matting becomes a tough underlay which cushions the enormous weight.

Flexigrid has a deeply etched surface with an open grid structure through which liquid or spills are dissipated.

Made from flexible PVC, it is comfortable to stand on, helping reduce physical fatigue.
