Watch your STEP: HSE launches free Slips & Trips elearning package
February 1st 2009

Launched in February, STEP is an eLearning package developed by the HSE, providing slips and trips guidance through interactive learning.

It is designed to be an easy way to learn about slips and trips, how they are caused, why preventing them is important and how to tackle them. STEP includes quizzes, videos, animations, case studies and interactive sequences to enhance the learning experience.

The general course is suitable for many different industries and four other courses have been specifically designed for Food Manufacturing, Hospitality & Catering, Education and the Health Services.

STEP will be a free to use online tool. It will sit on the HSE web site, and will be accessible via the slips and trips web pages. STEP will also be available on DVD via HSE books; there will be a small charge of £5.00 plus VAT.
