Cable protectors reduce trip risk
February 1st 2006

According to Health and Safety statistics, people tripping and falling over the 30 000 miles of loose cables trailing across the floors of UK businesses are costing employers £64m a year in litigation costs.

Vulcascot offers 30 floorlaid cable protectors, manufactured from rubber, to cover and protect cables ranging the smallest of telecommunications wires to heavy duty cables and looms with a diameter in excess of 50mm.

Three principal ranges are offered. For the office environment Snap Fit profiles have been designed both with and without coloured hazard stripes to accept multiple wiring requirements in a variety of dimensions.

Two translucent profiles are offered. These are designed to be unobtrusive on any floor covering and can be used to cover and protect LED strips.

Heavy duty, industrial versions are also available.
