ACCESS PLATFORMS FOR VAN MOUNTING

Van-mounted platforms are enjoying a resurgence in popularity, with the combination of compact dimensions, speedy set-up, secure storage for tools and equipment and easy manoeuvrability being key benefits.

The latest van-mounted access platform from Versalift (UK) fits on compact 2900kg GVW vans, such as the Vauxhall Vivaro and could also be used on the new Transit low floor 3500kg GVW with 500kg spare payload.

Working height is 9.2 or 10.5m. No stabilisers are needed for one man operation, though they

are necessary for two person use. The unit has 360 rotation, telescopic main boom and there is no tail swing projection beyond the mirror width of the van.
