May 1st 2010 The MAP3 mobile access platform
launched by Abex in the autumn of
2009 to ensure safer practices when
working at height has won the UK
Fork Lift Truck Association's 2010
Award for safety.
"We designed the MAP3 as a
safer alternative to ladders and
scaffolding," explains Abex MD
Martin Connop, who accepted the
"Archie" award at the ceremony
which was held on 27th February.
The electric powered rechargeable
MAP3 is controlled from the
platform and incorporates features
such as a locking system to
immobilise the unit when the front
gates are open, and extending
sidebars for a safe operator
