Matting flies high
February 1st 2010

Crossgrip safety matting from Plastic Extruders has been installed on the roofs of two buildings serving airports - The Heathrow/Windsor Marriott Hotel and Manchester Airport.

At Manchester Airport the roof of an office building has been refurbished with Crossgrip to provide safe walkways for maintenance and to provide access to the rooftop services. The matting's deeply etched open grid surface provides permanent high slip resistance even in the worst weather conditions.

Near Heathrow Airport, at the refurbished Windsor Marriott Hotel the same matting has been installed. It is laid on the bitumen roof embedded with solar-reflective stones and is strong enough to cope with the impact of the stones' sharp edges.
