Monitors wind speed
June 1st 2007

Monitors A company in Canary Wharf has installed two automatic weather stations on the roof of its high rise buildings to provide local weather information.

Data is used as an aid to energy management and to provide wind speed data which can then be used to protect the safety of employees who have access to cradle systems.

Workers are still required to take manual wind speed readings, but these can be backed by the automatic data which is displayed in real time to operatives inside the building.

Casella Measurement has further details on weather monitoring.
