The safety of rooftop workers, such as maintenance crews and external contractors, is assured at a hospital in Buckinghamshire following the installation of a roof edge protection system from Kee Klamp.

The KeeGuard system provides a permanent solution that offers speed of access and convenience. The installation extends for more than 230m across the roof of the two-storey building and uses Kee Klamp's saddle fitting for quicker assembly.

This fitting allows the horizontal guardrail to be placed in the saddle of the open fitting rather than through it, before being secured with a grub screw in the normal fashion.

The system comprises three pre-fabricated components: main upright, main counter-balance, and a free end assembly, where no fixing wall is available.
