Pocket guide to ladder safety
August 1st 2006

Ladders and stepladders are involved in a third of all reported falls from height. At work, these accidents account for, on average, 14 deaths and 1200 major injuries each year. It is therefore vital to encourage safe practice among ladder users.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (R0SPA) has produced a handy laminated pocket guide Working Safely with Ladders.

Available in packs of 10, the guide contains clear and concise instructions and is fully compliant with the Work at Height Regulations which require a crucial first question to be addressed can the job be done in a different way?

The advice on offer from RoSPA includes safety tips for storing, checking, positioning, maintaining and using ladders.

A poster is also available to reinforce key safety messages to employees working at height.

The guide is sold in packs of 10 for 14.20 (12.15 for RoSPA members).
