POCKET CARDS DEAL WITH ACCESS TOWERS October 1st 2004 The first in a series of pocket cards has been introduced by PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers’ and Manufacturers’ Association), industry body for manufacturers, suppliers and training providers in the mobile access tower sector.
Designed as a handy, practical guide for use on site, the encapsulated card measures 140 by 90mm and provides an illustrated checklist of dos and don’ts when assembling, moving and dismantling towers.
Quick and easy to use, it offers simple, step-by-step advice, such as ensuring that platforms are securely located and windlocks applied, and that castors are locked and legs correctly adjusted.
Other cards planned include Understanding and using tower components and identifying potential hazards.
