Protection for mowers

A fall protection system has been installed by The Access Group to protect gardeners at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park while they mow the green roof of the Underground Gallery.

Featuring a 150m Mansafe safety line, the system is simple to use and provides a high level of protection without marring the appearance of the building.

In addition to the design and installation of the fall protection system, The Access Group has been awarded the maintenance contract for the system.

The company's Stuart Cameron says "The green roof at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park certainly looks spectacular, but it needs a great deal of care to ensure it remains that way.

"Key to this is keeping the grass tidy and as it grows on an elevated area a fall protection system was needed to ensure the safety of those working on it."
