Safe access to rides

Paultons Park in Hampshire has enlisted the help of fall arrest expert Certex UK to ensure the safety of staff who carry out routine maintenance on the rides.

Central to the work is the installation of a new CheckLine single lifeline system made by Checkmate Safety.

The system protects against a fall from access steps and access platforms on the rides should the user slip or become wrong footed.

Certex has also supplied CheckRing safety harness eye bolt sockets that have been fitted at intervals along the tracks of the roller coasters to provide safe access to the car braking mechanism.
