Safety system for ladders June 1st 2007 Safety system
Falling from height remains
the most common fatal
injury at work. Ian Luke of
CSS Worksafe hopes that
with the rise of the
company's Ladder Safety
System, statisticians will
soon see a sharp decline in
injuries involving ladders.
Luke comments "Whenever
the product is demonstrated
it genuinely sells itself.
Numerous people in a
massive range of industries
are quick to see the huge
advantages to their workers
while also being able to
comply with an ever
increasing range of criteria
to meet HSE standards and
legislation."
The company says the
success of the product lies
in the simplicity of its
design. An eye bolt, full
body harness and
interconnected sub system
are, in the event of a fall
from height from a ladder,
designed to break the fall
while providing reliable and
suitable anchorage.
Luke continues "Safe
working at heights and in
confined spaces is a major
concern of all companies –
multinationals and one-manbands
alike. Using a tried
and tested fall protection
system not only provides
peace of mind to companies
in terms of legislation, more
importantly it provides
necessary protection to the
workers without needlessly
risking their health and
lives." More articles from CSS Worksafe: |
