Training platform
August 1st 2006

Kier Group's health, safety and environmental training centre at Chawston has a new addition. Combisafe has installed a speciallymade staged platform which allows Kier personnel to inspect, demonstrate and train on a large selection of its safety system all within a controlled environment and under supervision.

Combisafe's Safety Net Fan and Net Barrier System, together with its access solution, the Combisafe Stairs, join the steel mesh barrier on a specially constructed platform using the Peri Skydeck system. Kier training staff will use the platform to show personnel the benefits of each of the systems, how they work and how to erect and dismantle them.

John Young, Kier Group's health and safety course manager, says "We want all our personnel to have an understanding of fall-safety protection. This new platform means we can show our staff how to get the most out of the Combisafe range and see the benefits of each individual product in action"
