TRAINING FOR THOSE WORKING AT HEIGHT
April 1st 2005

One factor common to most people who work within industrial maintenance is that, at some stage, they will work at height.

To achieve this safely, there has been a move towards the use of powered access. This, in turn, requires operator training.

The IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) course covers all aspects of working safely at height for powered access users and is recognised by the Main Contractors Group (MCG).

Courses generally include theory, familiarisation with platforms, practical tests, question time and course evaluations.

It is important to source an approved IPAF training centre. Most offer courses at a client’s site or at training centres throughtape out the UK. Facelift Access Hire is one such company and has approved training centres in Hickstead, East and West London, Liverpool and Southampton.
