Uni gets first class safety October 1st 2009 Safesite is working with the
University of Kent and Complete
Roofing Contractors to provide a
substantial roof safety solution
comprising both installed systems and
detailed training for the University's
Canterbury Campus.
Plant and machinery such as air
conditioning units are housed on the
various roofs around the campus and
it is vital that a safe means of access is
provided at all times.
Following a survey and assessment
of the roof areas by Safesite, System
2000 freestanding guardrail,
demarcation, a horizontal restraint
line system, fragile roof light grilles
and vertical access ladders have been
installed.
System 2000's freestanding design
means that it does not need to be
mechanically fixed to the roof itself.
This overcomes the risk of damage to
the roof's membrane ,which can
cause water penetration, costl More articles from Safesite Limited: |
