Visits on target
August 1st 2006

Less than five months after the launch of Workplace Health Connect, 1000 small businesses have requested a visit from an adviser. This puts the service on target for reaching 11 000 workers through workplace visits in England and Wales, over the next two years.

Addressing attendees at a stakeholder breakfast event, Geoffrey Podger, chief executive of the HSE, said "We have been really encouraged by the success of the Workplace Health Connect service to date. By 13 July, over 1000 small business owners had asked a Workplace Health Connect adviser to visit them in their workplace to give them practical, impartial and free advice on how to manage health and safety."
