Accredited by the BSIF
October 1st 2007

The British Safety Industry Federation has introduced an accreditation scheme for training courses for operatives in awareness and response to liquid spills. Courses are popular among companies who have ISO 14001 Registration or who are applying for it as training is an integral part of the accreditation. Courses accredited by the BSIF are held at a company's site and should involve groups of no more than 12. Sessions cover environmental awareness, spill prevention practices and spill response procedures, followed by simulated exercises on real spills, and after-spill analysis of how the incident was dealt with. Fosse Liquitrol goes beyond the standards laid down by the BSIF and has developed training courses tailored to issues arising in specific industries. It provides pre-training site assessment to enable training to be matched to specific requirements.
