Act now to cut risk
June 1st 2008

Health and safety advisors from SHE Group, a division of SOG, says many company managers risk convictions and massive fines now that changes to the Corporate Manslaughter Act have come into effect.

SHE Group senior trainer, Helen Schoezel, explains "Company bosses and middle managers have to understand that it's now their responsibility to keep their staff safe and to work with all their employees to make their environment safe too." The company runs a halfday course called In Safe Hands to make supervisors and managers aware of their responsibilities and help them put systems in place to satisfy the new legislation.
