Chemical exposure
September 1st 2010

A new one day course on Chemical Exposure Management integrates all three routes of exposure (inhalation, ingestion and skin) into one comprehensive approach to the risk assessment and exposure management of chemicals in the workplace.

To facilitate it the EnviroDerm Services team Chris Packham and Dr.

Helen Taylor have joined forces with Paul Leadbetter, an extremely experienced occupational hygienist.

The course will provide an insight into the way in which the body responds to exposure to chemicals, how to identify hazards and assess the risk that these could cause damage to health. It will demonstrate practical methods of controlling exposure, using technical/engineering techniques as well as the selectionof PPE. The next course is in December.
