Five-day course
February 1st 2008

A professional body for those working in acoustics, noise and vibration, the Institute of Acoustics offers a nationallyrecognised five-day Certificate of Competence course in Workplace Noise Risk Assessment at accredited centres throughout the UK.

The course addresses the legal and practical aspects of noise control in the workplace and aims to give successful participants a better understanding of the practical implications of noise, the ability to carry out a noise risk survey and to make recommendations on how to reduce and manage noise exposure in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations.

It is assessed by a written examination and by a practical noise survey.

The Institute of Acoustics also offers a Certificate in the management of occupational exposure to hand arm vibration.
