HEALTH AND SAFETY QUALIFICATIONS April 1st 2004 NEBOSH, the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health, is the UKs leading health and safety awarding body. Its qualifications form the benchmark against which others are measured.
Its National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health provides appropriate knowledge for those with day-to-day health and safety responsibilities.
The National Certificate in Construction Safety supports those with specific duties in the construction sector, while a new International General Certificate is in development, drawing on good practice and globally accepted standards to improve health and safety worldwide.
NEBOSH diploma-level qualifications aim to develop professional health and safety advisers. The two-part National Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health is being revised to new ENTO standards. Part 1 (Construction) is based on the current National Diploma Part 1 syllabus, but focuses on construction issues.
The Specialist Diploma in Environmental Management is directed at all practitioners with particular environmental responsibilities.
