Machinery regs
June 1st 2005

Pilz Automation Technology is running a series of one-day courses on Machinery Regulations and Standards for machine builders.

The courses equip delegates with knowledge that enables them to meet the requirements of current regulations and harmonised standards for the design of new machinery.

A key topic covered is the legal obligations for machine builders and suppliers, including those who supply machinery to others within their own organisation. These obligations must be clearly understood before a machine design can begin.

The course explains the three main standards that relate to machinery design and manufacture: namely BS EN ISO 12100; BS EN (IEC) 60204-1; and BS EN 954-1.

One session gives delegates an understanding of how to perform a basic risk assessment in compliance with the requirements of BS EN 1050.

Courses are in Corby on July 12, August 9, September 13, October 11 and November 8th 2005.
