On course for training
September 1st 2010

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents has enhanced its training portfolio with the introduction of the new NEBOSH Health and Safety at Work Qualification (Level 2).

RoSPA piloted the course for NEBOSH (the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) and is now one of just a few organisations offering the new training.

September marks the safety charity's first running of the course since the pilot. Due to the interest received, courses have also been scheduled to take place in Edinburgh on October 25 and Birmingham on November 29. More courses will also be running in early 2011.

The training provides a basic understanding of health and safety principles and practices in the workplace, covering: Roles and responsibilities; systems for health and safety management; risk assessment and control; and work equipment and hazards. It is particularly useful for those wanting a good foundation in health and safety and is relevant across all business sectors. It can also be tailored to the needs of individual organisations and can be taken in any country.
