Power for tests
October 1st 2008

Prometric has chosen power support company, Merlin Power Management to supply it with Mase' Voyager 'super-silenced' generators for installation in its fleet of mobile testing centres.

Merlin will also be undertaking the nationwide servicing and maintenance of the sets.

A total of 20 5 and 9kVA generators are being supplied by Merlin through its associate shentongroup company, Scorpion Power Systems, the UK distributor of the Voyager range of Mase' generators. They are being mounted into Prometric's 71/2t and 12t Iveco trucks.

The generators are being used to power up the mobile testing centres, which have been commissioned by Prometric, on behalf of Construction Skills, to provide facilities for health and safety testing. The new vehicles will form part of a network of over 150 testing locations across the UK.

The Voyager range has been developed for mobile applications. Offering easy installation they offer good performance with minimum noise levels. The Voyager's high motor starting capability is suitable for onboard equipment such as lighting, computer, air conditioning, and so on.
