CMTC, formerly the Coventry Management Training Centre, specialises in short course quick response training solutions to help companies meet the ever-increasing flow of regulations across the health, safety and environmental spectrum.

Part of the Woodland Grange training organisation, CMTC will exclusively cover short courses.

Although open to all organisations, it is expected that the greatest demand for courses will come from SMEs that do not have HS&E specialists. Courses will also help non-specialist directors to understand their responsibilities and will be a useful means for specialists to keep up to date with developments.

Courses range from half day briefings on such issues as noise, stress, asbestos, and working at heights to day-release programmes that lead to formally accredited qualifications.

There will be single-day programmes covering the key points of managing safely, risk assessment and essential environmental issues.

All training programmes can be adapted and delivered in-company to meet specific organisational requirements.

Woodland Grange, which recently announced a 5m expansion plan, is one of a group of training providers chosen by nebosh to pioneer its International Certificate. This will be piloted during 2004 and then evaluated before global application.
