Week-long course looks at HAV

With ever-increasing demand for information and guidance on Hand Arm Vibration, the Institute of Acoustics has accredited five specialist providers for its one-week Management of Occupational Exposure to Hand-Arm Vibration course in 2006.

The syllabus covers the basics of vibration; the EU Physical Agents (Vibration) Directive and civil law as it relates to compensation claims by HAVs sufferers; vibration exposure management, exposure assessment, measurement of vibration magnitudes, control of risk and control of programme monitoring.
