Clearer hearing
August 1st 2008

Following the announcement of the extension of the Control of Noise at Work Regulations to the entertainment industry E·A·R (an AEARO brand) thought carefully about how it would meet new demand for hearing protection.

The findings of a market survey E·A·R commissioned discovered that the industry split into two distinct camps: "If we need to wear hearing protection, we will openly display it." For them exisitng products from E·A·R designed for lower noise levels would be fine.

"It needs to be discreet." For a user in a bar or music venue, bright, prominent hearing protection used elsewhere might not be appropriate." For these users E·A·R worked with leading music venues and pub and club chains and developed ClearE·A·R 20, as an inexpensive, long life, discreet product specifically for the entertainment industry.
