MEWP seminars
June 1st 2010

Anyone operating a mobile elevating work platform (MEWP) should receive familiarisation training on the specific type of machine being used, and there should also be a detailed rescue plan in place.

These were two of the key areas covered in a series of seminars held by powered accessspecialists AFIUplift.

The seminars across the UK drew large numbers of managers and operators who were keen to learn more about safety.

AFI launched the seminars just weeks after David Shipman, chairman, addressed the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) Summit in London and called for the industry to do more to promote the safety benefits of powered access.
