Free webinar
October 1st 2011

Diversified technology company 3M is to host a free webinar on Tuesday 22 November at 12 noon on the workplace hazards posed by occupational asthmagens as part of its 'safety spotlight' series.

3M launched the 'safety spotlight' series to share with customers its knowledge and expertise on a variety of workplace issues and hazards. As well as an informative and interactive webinar, the series includes free access to detailed technical bulletins that provide additional information for customers to review and keep.

The latest 'safety spotlight' will provide an insight into the different types of occupational asthmagens that can exist in a broad range of industries, including substances such as flour, isocyanates and wood dust, and how they can be the cause of health problems in the workplace. The spotlight will also focus on the selection of Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE), risk factors and control measures that can put in place.

To register go to: www.3M.co.uk/ ohes/speakerseries. All you need is a telephone and internet access. The technical bulletin will be available to download during November at: www.3M.co.uk/safetyspotlights.

3M will also be hosting seminars on the hazards of occupational asthmagens at the Health & Safety Events conferences in Bolton on 5-6 October and Dublin on 16-17 November.
