Interactive approach
August 1st 2008

Safety Media believes its latest interactive training DVD will keep staff interested and involved as they learn more about risk assessment.

Fun-to-use, 5 steps – Risk assessment in your Workplace portrays a series of potentially hazardous scenarios and invites the viewer to choose the correct solutions by pressing a button on their remote control.

The company believes that by becoming actively involved in watching the DVD, viewers are more likely to retain the information and less likely to let their attention wander.

The five steps covered by the DVD closely follow HSE guidance and show viewers how to actively comply with its advice. They are as follows: The need to identify potential hazards in the workplace The need to decide who might be at risk of harm and how The need to evaluate risks and decide precautions The need to record findings and implement them The need to review risk assessments regularly and update them if necessary.
