New qualification for process industries
February 1st 2011 Safety, health and environmental examinations board NEBOSH, has launched a brand new qualification for people working in the process industries.
The NEBOSH Award in Safety, Health and Environment for the Process Industries will help both employers and employees demonstrate competence in general health and safety, process safety and environmental management.
“Safety, health and environmental know-how is a must-have for anyone working in these major hazard industries,” said NEBOSH chief executive Teresa Budworth.
“Process operators, technicians and line supervisors must all be competent in these areas in order to ensure compliance.”
The qualification was developed in conjunction with Cogent (the Sector Skills Council for the Process Industries), employers, the National Skills Academy for the Process Industries (NSAPI) and NEBOSH/ NSAPI accredited providers. More articles from Nebosh: |
